Appalachian Ohio Manufacturers’ Coalition opening Marietta site

MARIETTA — The Appalachian Ohio Manufacturers’ Coalition will open a new manufacturing and business support center next week in Marietta.

The Manufacturing Support Center is located in the Broughton Industrial Park Building 23 on Ohio 821.

A ceremony and ribbon cutting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The public is invited.

The center will provide customized training programs and help companies innovate and provide technology that manufacturers can utilize. It will also provide resources to aid in the growth of manufacturing in the region.

* 4:30-4:35 p.m.: VFW flag raising ceremony

* 4:35-4:55 p.m.: welcome and introduction

* 4:55-5 p.m.: ribbon cutting

* 5-7 p.m.: open house & facility tours

Appetizers and beverages will be provided.

New equipment at the site will include the ArcWorld 52, the Virago 700 3D printer, the Haas VF-2 vertical machining center and the Haas ST-25 auto loader,

The Appalachian Ohio Manufacturers’ Coalition collaborates with education, social services and community leaders on aligning the learning system with the needs of the manufacturing community.
